SMARThivTECHS tech trial daily activities, day_1
SMARThivTECHS
Major Activities_day_1
a) Overview of required materials. All required materials secured. Biotech tropicana,Inc thanks the inhabitant of the Wansirou Community of Parakou, Benin, particularly small business owners for their massive contribution in the form of material donations.
b) Essential simulation materials include card board boxes to simulate laboratory materials such as thermocyclers, elisa plate reader, centrifuges …….. An abandoned refrigerator will be used to simulate storage at controlled temperature. A dining room table serves as laboratory bench. The founder’s bedroom and living room will serve as two separate laboratory blocks for manual PCR sample preparation, and PCR execution. Block separation is essential in conventional PCR to minimize the contamination effect. An abandoned truck will be used to simulate the mobile version of the SMARThivPACK laboratory system.
c) Total simulation trial budget of the SMARThivTECHS estimated at $100 USD.
d) Protocol development in simulation phase of the trial is guided by precedent successful simulated experiments in the biological sciences, particularly modeling-based "alternative” scientific methods developed and applied by professor Linus Pauling at the California Institute of Technology (Pasadena California, USA) to establish the structure of the alpha helix in protein molecules. Professor Linus’s approach was later successfully applied at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom by James Watson (USA) and Francis Crick (UK) to establish the structure of the double helix of DNA, using card board and pieces of materials collected from junk yard. Both works were awarded the Nobel price. These works confirmed the strength of alternative approaches in scientific investigation, low capital input , high impact result on the ground.
